    1. Practice Self Care

    Running yourself ragged is never a good idea. No matter how much you have going on, taking care of yourself should be on your list of priorities.

    Self-care can be a simple act, like picturing a stop sign when you find yourself thinking negatively or taking five minutes to close your eyes and focus on your breathing.

    2. Give Screens a Rest

    Most people work with screens in some capacity throughout the day, whether it’s on the phone or at their desk. No matter what you’re doing on your screen, your eyes will get tired and eventually leave you feeling fatigued.

    The next time you find yourself fighting the urge to fall asleep at your desk, try giving your brain a mini-vacation. When spending time at a screen, blink 10 to 20 times per minute, rather than staring without blinking at all. With each blink, your brain will appreciate the break from the bright lights.

    3. Eat Every Four Hours

    Instead of eating three large meals a day, try eating small meals and snacks every few hours. This steady supply of nutrients can reduce your perception of fatigue.

    Eating foods whose sugars are absorbed slowly (low glycemic index) may help you avoid the crash and lethargic feeling that typically occurs after eating quickly absorbed sugars or refined starches. Foods with a low glycemic index include:

    • Whole grains
    • High-fiber vegetables
    • Nuts
    • Healthy oils (such as olive oil)

    4. Supplement Your Diet
