Eat These Foods After Hitting the Gym to Support Your Recovery

Exercising is an incredibly important aspect of living a healthy lifestyle and maintaining a healthy weight. Even after you’ve completed a workout though, your body is still working hard to recover and rebuild its energy store.

One of the easiest ways to support your body’s natural recovery process is to fuel it with the right foods and nutrients.

    Good Post-Workout Snacks

Ideal post-workout snacks include the three macronutrients that serve as the building blocks of the human diet. These include protein, carbs and fat. Each macronutrient has a specific role in maintaining overall health and wellness.

Carbs help refresh the body’s glycogen stores, protein supports the repair and rebuilding of muscle fibers that have been damaged during a workout and healthy fats are beneficial in moderate amounts to support overall wellness.

Whip up these delicious snacks before your workout and enjoy after your next trip to the gym! Each recipe features ingredients from our favorite brand of superfoods – BareOrganics.
