    1. You don’t have enough time for a healthy breakfast.

When this occurs, it becomes very easy to reach for that pastry that is loaded with sugar. Instead, try eating while getting ready. For example: as soonEating Habits as you rise, make some instant oatmeal with low-fat milk and take small bites as you are getting ready for the day. This habit will help boost energy, strengthen immunity, and trigger metabolism.

    2. You forgot to pack a lunch, so you’re craving fast food.

You’re not alone. A drive-thru restaurant is appealing for many reasons, but it can take a toll on your wallet and waistline. Try this: meal plan for the entire week’s lunch schedule and store them in containers that can be easily refrigerated. This habit will help you avoid unhealthy calories from fast food chains, and it will also save you money!

    3. You hit that middle of the day energy crash.

You want a soda or a bag of chips from the vending machine. Don’t do it. Junk food items not only contain ingredients that are not good for you, they may also increase your fatigue.

Here’s a better idea: keep a supply of nuts and dried fruit at your desk, and only reach for them when you feel hungry, not when you’re bored. This will provide natural energy that can also help you maintain a healthy weight.

    4. Your dinner plans are not until later, but you’re hungry now!

No one wants to be the person that goes out with friends and doesn’t order anything because “you already ate.” To avoid this situation, eat a light snack (150 to 200 calories) such as yoghurt, fruit, or two tablespoons of peanut butter a couple of hours before dinner.

    5. You’re hungry, but it’s late.

It is said that eating right before you go to bed may increase your chances of gaining excess weight. Most likely you are more tired than hungry and you should just go to sleep.

However, if you need something to satisfy your cravings, choose a fibre fruit such as an apple or a pear. This will improve digestion as you sleep, and it will also promote a feeling of fullness.
