What Is Maqui Berry?

Maqui Berry is a small, dark purple berry native to the Patagonia region of South America and is often called the “Patagonia Super Fruit.” Its vitamin A aids in maintaining healthy skin while fiber helps maintain healthy digestion and feelings of fullness.

Fruits with antioxidative properties are coveted around the world for their ability to support your overall health.

Enjoy maqui berry for breakfast with some of our favorite recipes below.

Breakfast Banana Split

Ingredients:

2 bananas

1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt

1 tsp. BareOrganics Maqui Berry Powder

½ cup blueberries

½ cup sliced strawberries

1 cup granola

1 tbsp. BareOrganics Cacao Nibs (optional)

Directions:

  1. Mix yogurt and maqui berry powder in a sealable container until combined.
  2. Place container of yogurt in the freezer until firm, not frozen solid, just scoop able.
  3. Scoop out four scoops of yogurt and place each scoop in a separate paper muffin liner.
  4. Put back in the freezer until ready to use.
  5. Split both bananas in half and place two halves each in separate bowls.
  6. Add 2 scoops of frozen yogurt to each bowl.
  7. Add berries, granola and cacao nibs.
  8. Serve immediately.

Maqui Kiwi Yogurt Delight Bowl

Ingredients:

½ cup plain Greek yogurt

1 tbsp. BareOrganics Maqui Berry Powder

1 kiwi, sliced or chopped

1 tsp. BareOrganics Chia Seeds

1/4 cup organic granola

1/2 tsp. honey or agave nectar

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a bowl and mix. Enjoy!

Very Berry Energy Boost Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 tbsp. BareOrganics Maqui Berry Powder

1 tbsp. BareOrganics AMLA (Amalaki) Powder

1 cups frozen mixed berries

½ cups cranberry juice

½ cups vanilla non-dairy milk

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients into a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
