DIY Skin Care to Keep You Feeling Refreshed from Head to Toe

On a budget but want to keep your skin feeling refreshed? Try out these head to toe DIY skin care recipes featuring natural ingredients from BareOrganics that you can whip up in a snap.

Turmeric Lip Scrub

Ingredients:

¾ cup BareOrganics Coconut Palm Sugar

4 tbsp. BareOrganics Coconut Oil

4 tbsp. castor oil

2 tbsp. beeswax

10 drops jojoba oil

2-3 tsp. BareOrganics Turmeric Root Powder

Directions:

  1. Mix together the coconut oil, castor oil and half the turmeric powder in a glass bowl until well combined. Then stir in the remaining turmeric powder.
  2. Add the sugar and beeswax to the mixture and stir about one minute.
  3. Add the jojoba oil and stir again, about one minute.
  4. Store leftovers in an airtight container and use once or twice per week.

Cacao Maca Face Mask

Ingredients:

1 tbsp. BareOrganics Extra Rich Cacao Powder

1 tsp. BareOrganics Maca Root Powder

2 tbsp. BareOrganics Coconut Oil

1/2 tsp. jojoba oil

Directions:

  1. Add dry ingredients into a bowl and mix until combined.
  2. Add coconut and jojoba oil and mix until the mixture becomes smooth.
  3. Spread evenly over face and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Remove using a damp, old washcloth (careful, the mask may stain fabric!) and rinse face thoroughly.

 

Beet Root Yogurt Mask

Ingredients:

3 tsp. BareOrganics Beetroot Powder

1 tbsp. organic plain yogurt

1 tsp. lime juice

2 tbsp. gram flour

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix until combined.
  2. Spread evenly over face and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Rinse face thoroughly.

 

Spirulina Body Scrub

Ingredients:

3/4 cup BareOrganics Coconut Palm Sugar

1/4 cup sea salt

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

1 tsp. BareOrganics Spirulina Powder

10 drops rosemary essential oil

6 drops lemon essential oil

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients together and store in a glass jar.
  2. Massage body scrub into skin, using circular motions.
  3. Rinse with warm water. May be used once or twice a week.
