Chances are, you probably know a thing or two about maca.
Maca is not only one of the world’s most cultivated superfoods but it is a dynamic adaptogen that helps the body deal with stress. These adaptogen qualities also support energy levels, concentration, endurance, sexual health and much more.
Because maca is so beneficial, we love to cook with it at BIOVEA. Here are some of our favourite maca powder recipes:
Warm Maca Milk
1 teaspoon maca powder
1 – 2 tablespoons coconut palm sugar
1 ½ cups almond or cashew milk
Mix all ingredients until smooth. Pour mixture into a saucepan over low heat until frothy and warm. Enjoy!
Maca Banana Smoothie
Add all ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth. Enjoy!
Paleo Maca Pancakes
Blend eggs, bananas and maca powder in a blender or food processor until smooth. Place a large pan over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil to the pan. Once the coconut oil is covering the entire pan, add the desired amount of batter for each pancake. Cook each side of the Paleo maca pancake for about 2 minutes. Add more coconut oil as needed. Top with fresh fruit or Manuka honey. Enjoy!
